In the middle of November was held a meeting devoted to the implementation of the European infrastructure project "Via Baltica", initiated by the Lithuanian Road Administration. The meeting with the participation of Polish member companies of the Polish Cluster of Construction Exporters took place in Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, in Warsaw.
Via Baltica will act as the most important road connection between the Baltic States. Via Baltica also together with Rail Baltica is part of the trans-European transport corridor. The construction of the Lithuanian section of the road that runs from the Polish border through the territory of Lithuania is supervised by the Lithuanian Road Administration, controlled by the Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Lithuania. The road will have 970 km, of which 268 km on the very territory of Lithuania. The project will contribute to the development of the Baltic States, improving the international road transport of the region's countries.
The meeting organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Embassy in Poland regarding the implementation of this extremely important European project in the sphere of interest of the members of PCOCE (Polish Cluster of Contruction Exporters) was aimed at introducing the principles of cooperation between participants of this undertaking constituting the business and corridor transport between Warsaw and Estonian Tallinn.
The meeting was attended also by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Lithuania - Vladislaw Kondratowicz and Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania - Eduardas Borisovas. Capital Group F.B.I. TASBUD was represented by dr inż. Andrzej Czapczuk - Vice President of the Management Board, General Director and at the same time President of the Management Board of the Polish Cluster of Construction Exporters and Rafał Świstak - Member of the Management Board and Director of Legal and International Affairs of the Group.
