On 8th. February 2018, the "Polish Infrastructure & Construction" conference, organised by the Executive Club, took place at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw. The Vice-President of F.B.I. TASBUD S.A., Dr. Eng. Andrzej Czapczuk was one of the speakers and a co-participant in the panel discussion entitled, “The Dynamics and Directions of Investment in Development."
This year, the conference focussed on issues related to technological progress and product innovations, which are currently entering the market ever more rapidly. Attention was drawn to the upward trend in construction which is a challenge for investors and contractors. The debaters took up the topic of public transport, taking into account the need to implement solutions in a spirit of sustainable development. They presented their perspective of market realities after the reduction in the co-financing of infrastructure investments from the European funds.
During the discussion, the panel, with the participation of Dr. Eng. Andrzej Czapczuk, touched on the following topics:
- Coping strategies, post the reduction of co-financing of infrastructure investments from the European funds. Implementation of investments in the PPP formula as an example of the efficient implementation of projects.
- Stability in the performance of contractors and the effectiveness and efficiency of the investment process.
- The institutional environment and the investment and construction process. Is Polish law evolving and are any of the changes in line with expectations?
- Securities used by investors and the optimisation of the contractor's financial risk in the context of investment continuity.
The Vice-President emphasised that the experience gained, through a market presence of over 30 years, has contributed to the fact that both investors and subcontractors, as well as the financial institutions, perceive F.B.I. TASBUD S.A. to be a trustworthy company.
