At the end of September in the School and Kindergarten Complex in Leśniakowizna and the Museum of the "Gate of the Battle of Warsaw" in Ossów took place the First Poviat-Communal Patriotic Maneuvers "Leśniakowizna-Ossów".
The aim of the event was to prepare young people (in the form of sport rivalry) to deal with crisis situations and to create a sense of responsibility for health and safety of themselves and others. 12 six-person patrols, supervised by teachers, took part in the competition. The maneuvers started at 9.30 a.m. with an appeal, during which patrols representing individual schools were presented and participants were introduced to the rules of competition. Patrols from Ossów took part in the competition of shooting with sports weapons, watched the historical film "Battle of Warsaw 1920" and took part in the historical reconstruction. The next task was a forest road march from Ossów to Leśniakowizna (about 4km), during which a historical crossword connected thematically with the Battle of Warsaw had to be solved. In the further part of the manoeuvres, patrols took part in the first aid competition and in a live history lesson, they watched an exhibition of patriotic posters prepared by all patrols. I Poviat-Communal Patriotic Maneuvers "Leśniakowizna-Ossów" ended the appeal on the school pitch, during which cups, awards and diplomas were handed out. F.B.I. TASBUD a Joint-Stock Company received a Certificate for sponsoring this event. The award was received by Aneta Łuba, Director of Administration and HR Department.
