Project Description

The Orphanage No. 2 named after dr Janusz Korczak in Warsaw was built in 1912. It was officially opened in 1913 and until the Second World War fulfilled its function.  In 1940 the Orphanage was transferred to the ghetto and the building was used by different national institutions. From the year 2010 to 2011 just 100 years after the building being built F.B.I. TASBUD Joint-Stock Company started a complex modernization including both interior and exterior parts. The attic was disassembled. We did a new roof and historic elevation with insulation. Inside the building we did numerous constructional works such as replacing the ceiling and other constructional elements, replacing the floors, sanitary works including the replacement of cold water, hot water, central heating, sewerage and gas installations. We have also modernized ablutions with assembling sanitary ceramics and additional equipment. We have also made: ventilation, modernization of the heat distribution centre and electrical installation, doors replacement, a complex redecoration of the kitchen with assembling specialistic equipment and separators.
